In July 2013 Perelman sold an M&F Worldwide subsidiary, Harland Financial Solutions, to Davis plus Henderson Corporation for $1.2 billion in cash. He is also known for his philanthropic work where in 2008 Perelman gifted a $50 million gift to New York Presbyterian Hospital.
