Pending credit card payments
You made the final payment and cancelled your credit card but at the end of the year you come to know that outstanding credit card bills are to be cleared. The reason behind this is the fact that you don’t check your bills properly or you might have missed it.
If there is unbilled transaction but you made the final payment, still the card isn’t cancelled and assuming the card to be cancelled most people don’t bother to check the credit card statements. At the end of the day you may also be declared as a defaulter.
A better way to cancel your card is to send a mail to your specific bank and ask for a confirmation of cancellation in written.
