Manish Goel
Director Engineering, Head of System Performance & Thermal Group India, Qualcomm

Manish K Goel is Director Engineering and currently heads the System Performance & Thermal team in Qualcomm Bangalore. He is responsible for enabling Qualcomm chipsets with best performance, power & thermal profile. Prior to his current role Manish was Design Manager for multiple Mobile Baseband Processors of Qualcomm where he was responsible for delivering design from specification to silicon and addressing requirements of various global customers.

Before Qualcomm he worked in Nokia & Intel in SOC design & validation lead roles. His interests and passion include building world class teams and products.

He holds M-Tech in VLSI Design from IIT Kharagpur and holds 2 US patents.


Raghavan Muralidharan
CTO, Tata Power Company Ltd

R. Muralidharan, Senior Member IEEE, is a Systems Engineering professional in Computer and Communications Engineering fields for 36 years and is currently CTO at Strategic Engineering Division (SED) of Tata Power Company Ltd., Mumbai, India. At SED, he is responsible for design and development of mission critical real time solutions for Indian Defense. He is a 1979 batch post graduate in Electrical Engineering (Computer) from IIT Bombay, India. In 1987, the then Indian Prime Minister Mr. Rajiv Gandhi had invited him to be a member of the Distinguished Young Scientists team.

Mr. Muralidharan, an IEEE volunteer for 37 years, is a Past chair of IEEE India Council and Bombay Section. He was an IEEE ComSoc Standards board member during 2008 to 2010. He was also an IEEE Computer Society distinguished lecturer for 3 years.

Muralidharan is Vice Chair and member of the Board of Directors of the Wireless Innovation Forum (SDR Forum V2.0) and has been actively involved with the Forum for the last 6 years in chairing technical sessions of Conferences, as member of TPC, presenting papers etc. He works in the Forum committees for International Tactical Radios, ICSM, etc.


Dr. Walden C. Rhines

Dr. Rhines, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Rhines was Executive Vice President of Texas Instruments’ Semiconductor Group, sharing responsibility for TI’s Components Sector, and having direct responsibility for the entire semiconductor business with more than $5 billion of revenue and over 30,000 people. Rhines is currently in his fourth term as Chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium. He is also a board member of the Semiconductor Research Corporation, Lewis and Clark College and the Portland Classic Wines Auction. He has previously served as chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Open Systems and as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers Association (CBEMA), SEMI-Sematech/SISA, Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), University of Michigan National Advisory Council and Sematech.


Dr. Satya Gupta
Vice President, HCL Technologies

Dr. Satya Gupta, brings an experience of more than 24 years in the semiconductor field covering Design, CAD, Systems and Embedded Software. Prior to co-founding Concept2Silicon Systems, Dr. Gupta was Co-Founder & VP of Engineering and Technology at Open-Silicon, where he was responsible for the World-Wide engineering and technology development. Before that, Dr. Gupta co-founded Intel Microelectronics Services, an ASIC organization within Intel, where he built and managed engineering teams both in the USA and India. He worked at Intel for 13 years serving in various engineering and management positions.

Dr. Gupta received the prestigious IEEE Gordon Bell award in High Performance Computing for his work on breaking teraflop barrier for the first time. He has authored more than 40 technical papers and has 6 patents. He was the founding member of India Semiconductor Association (ISA) and has been actively serving on its executive committee. Dr. Gupta received his Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, Virginia, USA, his Masters from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India and his Bachelor of Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India.


Sonal Chandrasekharan
Sr Director, Cypress Semiconductors

Sonal Chandrasekharan, Sr Director, Cypress Semiconductors runs the RAM (Random Access Memory) BU at Cypress Semiconductors, Colorado Springs. She has 13 years experience in mostly in P&L Management, Business Development and Product Marketing in the technology industry. She runs a $300M Business at Cypress Semiconductors, is responsible for the P&L and leads end to end teams including marketing, engineering, applications and systems. She offshored and successfully transitioned multiple business units like Specialty memory products and Clocks from US to Cypress India, before moving to run the random access memory business in the US.
