Prof. Dr. Anil Rao Paila is a Chartered Accountant and his Doctoral study on “Design and Development of Management Information System in selected industries”, earned him a Ph.D. Degree in MIS. National merit scholar throughout his academics from Intermediate Education to the Higher Education, he has completed his graduation in Commerce, Masters in Commerce and Master of Computer Management and has been First in Merit in all three examinations of the University. He was awarded the most prestigious prize ‘The Chitragupta Award’ for standing first in Management Accounting by Institute of Chartered Accounts of India, New Delhi.
He is presently Director and Dean of Prin L N Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Bangalore campus. His key areas of specialization are Institution Building and organization Development, Creating and Marketing corporate image and enhancing Brand Development, Design Thinking and Strategic implementation.
Dr. Anil Rao has 14 years of Corporate Experience and 9 years of Teaching Experience. In his last job, he served as Associate Vice President, heading South India Operations in Mahindra First Choice Ltd, one of the group companies of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and worked with Lalbhai Group, as well.
Represented Association of Indian Management Schools(AIMS), as an Executive Council member for 3 years.
At Welingkar, his team was instrumental in signing up a Junior Management Leadership Program(JMLP) with Infosys BPO, to train 500 top performing employees across the country. Formulated Centre for excellence in Research in collaboration with Anna University, Coimbatore, currently 9 students are pursuing PhD with senior faculty members in the campus.
