Venu Reddy

Venu Reddy is a research director at IDC India and is responsible to manage and orchestrate the research across all of the ICT technology areas in India. Prior to IDC India, Venu was a Vice-President at a leading market research and consulting company’s Asia Pacific operations. In this role, he works closely with analysts across the region to develop an acute understanding of the marketplace and offers clients valuable market analysis, intelligence, insight and advice to help grow their business. He regularly presents his research findings and insights to many players in the IT marketplace and at industry events. He was also frequently quoted in regional IT trade publications and often invited for broadcast interviews on CNBC Asia, Channel News Asia and BBC World. Venu has also worked as a Market Analysis Manager at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) for the Asia/Pacific region, where he was responsible for tracking and analyzing the market dynamics in various industries across the region.

Gerard serves as head of Developer Experience at Nokia, India, a role he took over since joining in Q1 of 2012. Gerard’s background is in creating, leading & managing supply chains models, business model innovation and services with domain and technology cross-functional teams for new product development/ engineering/management. Gerard was selected Wharton Fellow in ’05 and a Reuters Digital Vision Fellow at Stanford University in ‘06. Defined & developed tools from scratch like netlist checkers, RTL power estimation tools, flow-automation tools & Spec-to-RTL tools. Currently developing an Datapath placement and Standard cell library qualification tools for a design house. Founded Divum in the middle of deep 2008 recession and grown upto a team size in double digit. Divum has a track record of developing 40+ iPhone applications in first 6 months. Divum is an idea execution center, where ideas are converted into reality, especially in the areas of iPhone/BlackBerry/Android applications.

He was involved in structuring and executing transactions and actively managed several portfolio companies in automotive, energy and building materials sectors. Prior to Astarc, Pradeep worked with Ernst &Young’s investment banking practice where he advised clients and executed M&A and PE transactions for public and private companies in technology, life sciences and pharmaceuticals.
