Sharat M. Airani

Chief of IT (systems and security), Forbes Marshall

Sharat M. Airan has 21 years&rsquot; experience in the IT industry, and has featured in the CIO100 Awards 2010 (by IDG Media). Having completed training from IIM Ahmedabad; Programme on Strategic IT Management, he is also a certified lead auditor from TuV in ISMS and completed the training for CISA under Pune Chapter. He has a post-graduate diploma certification in Business Administration from NMIMS, Mumbai. He is an active co-convener of CII- IT in Manufacturing (Confederation of Indian Industry) as well as a council member of CIO KLUB, Pune. His work and contribution to the IT field was recently recognised by a CISO 100 Award 2011 – an award established to recognize the best and the brightest IT security leaders of today. Sharat began his career with the ICNET pioneers in email service in India and later worked for Mekaster Group New Delhi, DSJ Group Mumbai, before joining Forbes Marshall. He is currently leading project Cloud Computing after a successful drive on virtualisation committed to the vision of robust secured Infrastructure and was awarded “Value Champion” for the year 2009-10 from Forbes Marshall.

Avinash Sankhe

Group Head, IT, Karvy Computershare (KCPL)

Avinash Sankhe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and is an Executive MBA. He has 20 years of experience in ITeS & IT services encompassing international clients and operations management, BPI, BT and started his career with manufacturing industry. He brings in a rich expertise in setting up, managing and ramping up offshore IT and ITeS delivery teams for fairly large projects, predominantly for BFSI and Healthcare space, amongst other myriad industries he serviced. In his current role in domestic financial services KPO, he is Group IT Head of a joint venture investor services business for Mutual Funds and Corporate Registry, between the world’s largest registry, Computershare and India’s top registry, Karvy.

Manoj Arora

Global CIO, Bilcare

Manoj has around 20 years of experience. Prior to Bilcare, he has also worked in Hemas, Lucent Technologies, Becton Dickenson, JCT Electronics, GIVO, DRDO. He has persuaded MBA and MS.

Shirish Godbole

President IT, Suzlon Energy

Shirish completed his Engineering in 1979 and his first stint was with Cummins India as a graduate trainee. He has a career of over twenty six years and spent the first twenty years in various areas and functions of manufacturing. He entered into IT with his first experience in ERP in 2001 and has been with Suzlon since 2009.

Aroon Mehta

HEAD-IT/SAP, Serum Institute of India

Aroon has around two decades of experience. He is currently working as head IT at Serum Institute of India. Prior to Serum Institute, he has also worked at Torrent Group.

M.S Unnikrishnan

Managing Director & CEO, Thermax

M S Unnikrishnan, earlier, as Executive Vice President, he was head of the company&rsquot;s project business, viz. captive power, boilers & heaters and air pollution control. Unnikrishnan began his career as a graduate trainee with Thermax after completing his mechanical engineering from Regional Engineering College, Nagpur in 1982. He went on to set up marketing operations for the energy division of Thermax in the western region. In 1987, he joined the EID Parry Group as Deputy Regional Manager. In 1992, Unnikrishnan joined as an Assistant General Manager of Terrazzo Incorporated – Sharjah, heading manufacturing, marketing and commercial operations. Unnikrishnan rejoined Thermax as a General Manager in 1997. After an organizational restructuring in 2000, he was part of the newly formed Executive Council.

Rajeev Khade

Rajeev is having very sound and rich exposure to various functions of IT department.As an IT head, he has handled the establishment of IT set up for the manufacturing unit/s, head office and regional offices across various geographies. He was actively involved in selection & Implementation of ERP for all the locations of the organisation.

Sudha I Dhar

CIO, Cummins India

Sudha has 30 years of experience in the IT sector. Prior joining to Cummins, she has also worked with Naksheel, Oracle Corporation, NIIT.

Rajeev Jorapur

Head - IT, Mercedes Benz India

Rajeev started his career in June 1985 with Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute, Phaltan, (about 100 km south-east from Pune). There, he was engaged in conducting research in Agriculture and Non-conventional energy resources like developing technology for ethanol production from sweet sorghum, gasification of loose sugarcane leaves and use of solar energy. He worked with Videocon Appliances, Washing machine division for implementation of SAP with a completely in-house team without any external implementation partner.He joined Mercedes-Benz India Pvt Ltd in Dec 2001. He won the CIO100 Award in 2009.
