Sanjay Bansal
Director & Head 3G Platforms, ST-Ericsson Bangalore
Sanjay heads the 3G Platforms Group in ST-Ericsson Bangalore. Under his leadership, merger exercise had become smooth when NXP Wireless & ST Wireless teams were to be merged in India. With Ericsson Mobile Platforms joining the joint venture in 2009, he had doubled the team in ST-Ericsson Bangalore, during very tough times for IT industry in India. Sanjay has grown his group both in numbers as well as competencies, having now firmly established itself in 3G platform business within ST-Ericsson, while Bangalore enjoys the status of a unique site in ST-Ericsson globally as it contributes to critical projects of all 3 business divisions of ST-Ericsson. Sanjay leads his team in making critical deliverables in different domains of Smart Phone platforms, e.g. Modem adaptations, BSP & Kernel development for Linux, MultiMedia, Connectivity integration, system validation and direct end-customer support. Sanjay started his career with an R & D centre in Noida in 1992, gaining knowledge in IC design and after a period of two and a half years, moved into embedded software development. In 1996, he joined Philips Semiconductors Bangalore, which later became NXP Semiconductors and finally merged its wireless business into ST-Ericsson. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communication from IIT Roorkee.
Mohit Saxena
Founder & Vice President, Technology, InMobi
Mohit is the Technology Founder and has been serving as the Head of Technology at InMobi since the beginning. He is responsible for InMobi’s technology development, including infrastructure, application management and IT. Prior to joining InMobi, Mohit was based out of San Francisco and managed the technology operations at Virgin Mobile, world’s largest mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). At Virgin Mobile, he was instrumental in designing and deploying post-paid billing system and revenue recognition system on a pre-paid platform. This helped significantly to make Virgin Mobile the largest and the most successful MVNO in the US. Mohit has also worked at AT&T and is a part of several patents filed in the telecommunication area. Mohit completed his undergraduate studies from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT). He has an eye towards innovation and simplicity and is passionate about technology and its possibilities. Mohit was always fascinated by tales of people with small ideas turning them into global powerhouses and always dreamed of being the part of such an endeavor himself. So when opportunity knocked at his door to be the Technology Founder of InMobi, he jumped at it. It is Mohit’s belief that strong discipline and desire to be at the top of the world will one day make InMobi one of the biggest and the smartest companies.
Sunil Rao
Head, Forum Nokia India
Sunil Rao is the Head of Forum Nokia-India. At Nokia, Sunil is responsible for evangelizing new technology platforms, strategy and growth opportunities with Nokia&rsquot;s third party developers to create a vibrant Nokia ecosystem.Sunil was heading the Ecosystem development for Symbian Software which was acquired by Nokia in 2008. Prior to Nokia and Symbian, he has lead sales and marketing efforts at Talisma software, Wipro technologies, Mphasis BFL and HCL Perot. He has a distinction of working in North America, Europe and Asian Markets.
