In 1987, the V.M.K.V. Engineering College was started with the sufficient infrastructure and facilities and the campus is a self-sufficient enclave with a number of conveniences thoughtfully provided by the college authorities. The College was approved and recognised by the Government of Tamilnadu and University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. The College is now associated with the Vinayaka Missions University (VMU), Salem.
