Having delivered quality education for decades, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences ventured into the field of Technical Education in 2009 with Sri Aurobindo Institute of Management & Science, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology and Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy, with a clear intent to make each and every institute the best seat of learning in their respective disciplines. In such a short span of time, all the colleges have started progressing towards their vision to be an institution of national repute. Best of the faculties work incessantly to achieve this ambition and the results have already started coming.

Key to growth of any institute is the level of partnership and interaction with the industry that that institute manages to develop. As a simple business paradigm would suggest, the services produced by any entity are attuned as the needs and requirements of the customer changes. The same applies to Education Services as well. Juxtaposing the same paradigm to prospective of education, we can see that the Industry is our primary customer with our student being the output. Keeping in mind the dynamic nature of the industry the manpower requirement changes constantly. So the kind of skill set that the student needs to develop over the period of education should also take into account this dynamicity of the industry.
In order to achieve this, the group of institutes has developed a single centre that will take care of this activity on their behalf. The Centre is an entirely independent entity with its own Director, Administration and Staff.
The centre will be responsible for the following:
  • To arrange industrial training for students and identify student project work in industries.
  • To interact with R&D Organizations for conducting joint research work involving faculty/scientists and students/research scholars etc.
  • Faculty Exchanges-getting professionals from industry as visiting faculty or adjunct professors for short or long periods.
  • Guest lectures by eminent personalities, academicians, leading industrialists at regular intervals to update the student’s knowledge.
  • To arrange short-term programmes: Duration of 5 to 7 days for the benefit of Professionals in various technical disciplines.
  • Signing MoU’s with industry and institutes. Setting up of technology parks in collaboration with alumni and industry for cost effective opportunity for R&D leading to marketable products.
