The Seemanta Engineering college was established in the year 1997 by Seemanta Mahavidyalaya Samiti. Seemanta Engineering College is the only premier private technical institution in the North Orissa region offering B.Tech. Programme in six disciplines and PG programme in MCA. The MCA Course was instituted in the year 1999. The strength of the Department is very talented, dedicated, committed, skilled and experienced faculty drawn from various backgrounds such as Teaching and Industries, and Laboratories.
