About us:
At the origin of RGI, there was a simple question. The question was “why many a talented students move to other parts of country in search of higher education?” It is evident that every year large number of students move outside Northeast India to pursue their higher education due to lack of quality institutes or lack of seats in the existing institutes in this region.
The answer leads to rethink and to build a place where knowledge would be imparted in a state-of-the art education infrastructure and where an individual would be metamorphosed into a person of intellect, ethics and optimum productivity.
Ignited by this dream, two childhood friends, both being dynamic entrepreneurs- Shri A. K. Pansari and Shri A. K. Modi conceived the idea of bringing a world class education centre in the Northeastern India. The duo had started Delhi Public School in Guwahati in 2003. With the record enrollment of more than thousand students in the first year, it encouraged them further to fulfill their dream. On 28th December, 2008, the then Governor of Assam, Late Shiv Charan Mathur laid the foundation stone of RGI at Betkuchi, in Guwahati.
Geared with the zeal, within an incredible seven months time, the meticulous plan got executed and on 26th July 2009, Shri Tarun Gogoi, Honorable Chief Minister, Assam inaugurated RGI in a colourful function. RGI started regular classes for all the streams from 29th July, 2009.

Objectives:
The objectives of RGI is of nurturing and developing managerial and technical talent by offering a wide range of under-graduate and post-graduate programmes in management and technical education to meet evolving industry needs. The programmes aim at providing young, thinking minds the power to shape their paths and influence change by instilling certain core values like depth of understanding, analytical rigour, independence of thought, commitment, cooperation, competition, integrity and innovation.
