Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute Of Technology, established in 1998 at Vijayawada, is one of the thirteen educational institutions sponsored and run by Siddhartha Academy Of General And Technical Education, Vijayawada. The members of the academy are more than 200. The office bearers of the academy are elected from among them. The members are a group of well-knit industrialists, educationists, auditors and philanthropists with a vast experience in their respective fields. P.V.P.S.I.T was approved by All India Council Of Technical Education, and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. P.V.P.S.I.T is Located in Vijayawada, the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada is the hub of educational activity in the state. There exist sixteen degree colleges, one Health University and a large number of junior colleges. In addition, all the leading computer software companies have established their training institutes in Vijayawada, which help the students to learn special computer skills via informal education.
