Maharana Pratap College of Technology, Gwalior, a premier Institute of the region established in 1996 was founded by Pratap Vahini Samaj Kalyan Sansthan. All the Courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and Govt. of M.P. Bhopal and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Prpudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, (University of Technology of M. P.), Bhopal.
In a span of fifteen years the Institute has developed to a premier Engineering College of the region.Maharana Pratap College of Technologyis having on an average 50-60% merit positions in all branches in the university examination every year. It draws its strength from its up to date facilities and highly qualified faculty. TheMaharana Pratap College of Technologystudents placed in India and abroad speak for its quality education.
Gwalior is located on main Central Railway line between Delhi and Chennai and is well connected through air, rail and road to all parts of the country. The Institute is approximately 5 K.M. away from the Gwalior railway station.The rich industrial potential around Gwalior region offers excellent training and placement opportunities to the students. At present the institution has come to a level of well-reputed institution and this way it is being ranked and preferred as one of the best Engineering Colleges in the north western India.

Placement Cell:
We are running A full fledged Training & Placement Cell in MPCT headed by a senior faculty as the TPO. The cell remains in constant touch with number of leading industries and organizations. It provides career counseling to the students.
Industrialists, technocrats and relevant high officials are invited to guide our students, so that they may not feel any problem in placement of jobs of their interest. By arranging seminars, Symposium, Lectures etc. our students get opportunities to interact with their concerned experienced technocrats.
The cell, besides arranging Summer training, industrial tours and placement at the campus and off campus, engages itself in various personality enhancement programmes like communication skills, transactional Analysis, group discussion & interview techniques.
The T & P Cell also organizes vocational training in different industrial units were the students of different branches of engineering & MCA are absorbed as trainees which facilitate them in Job Placement.
Our students have been placed in leading private industries through campus Recruitment and fared equally well in various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, and Engineering Services & UPSC Examinations. A number of students have also joined national & international institutes of repute for higher studies.
