K.C. College of Engineering and Information Technology, Nawanshahr was established in March 2004 by K.C. Social Welfare Trust (Regd), Nawanshahr. The college is ISO 9001:2000 certified institute and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Ministry of H.R.D., Govt. of India and is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
The College has highly qualified Nationally and Internationally renowned faculty. The laboratories are well equipped. The library has over 8000 books related to various fields and is fully computerized. The College also subscribes to nearly 50 National and International Journals. The students are encouraged to take part in extra curricular activities for overall development of their personality. The college has developed infrastructure for students to undertake M.Tech. and Ph.D research projects in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
The college is in the process of having collaboration with an American University for exchange of students. It is proposed that the students will spend 2 years at K.C. College of Engineering & I.T. and remaining two years at American University.
The college organized a two days international conference on 15-16 Dec., 2006 on recent advances in Electronics Engineering and Communication Technology. About 150 delegates from all over India and USA participated in the conference.
