The Institute of Technology & Management (ITM) was established in the year 1997 and is now under the banner of ITM Universe.ITM University is a multidisciplinary university known for its quality of research and teaching across the academic spectrum, with subjects spanning the sciences, engineering, management, fine arts, social sciences, arts, nursing etc.

It has been at the forefront of learning, teaching and research and leader in many different fields in its educational endeavour. In a relatively short-time span it has created an image for its excellence as an institution of higher learning through outstanding teaching and world-class research so as to produce well-rounded graduates with lifelong abilities to provide leadership within the societies they serve. We have a well-deserved reputation for last 15 years for excellence, as demonstrated by host of educational institutions already operating under out flagship banner i.e., ITM Universe.

“ITM University-Gwalior”, is established by the Act of State Legislature, M.P. and is notified in the Official Gazette (extra-ordinary) of the State Government after having received the assent of His Excellency Governor of M.P. Who will be the Visitor of ITM University. “ITM University-Gwalior”, is sponsored by Samata Lok Sansthan, a registered charitable Trust. The Trust was successfully running various Institutions in discipline of Engg. Technology, Life Science, Computer Applications, Management, Nursing & Education etc for last 15 years enjoying the top ranking in the State & the Region. The flagship Institutions under ITM Group of Institution (known as ‘ITM Universe’ - brand name) like Institute of Technology & Management (ITM) & Institute of Allied Science and Computer Applications (IASCA) at Gwalior are NBA & NAAC accredited respectively.

Campus

“ITM University-Gwalior” Campus is a delight to see. One sees hundreds of original works of Art permanently displayed in common areas & monumental sculptures in marble, granite, mild steel or stainless steel in open areas. There is so much of world class curricular & extra curricular activities throughout the year that the city folks of the Region eagerly awaits for each event. The largest Amphitheatre of India at ITM Campus becomes witness to ever bubbling energies of youth. There is no barrier between students & higher authorities in this Campus. Samata Lok Sansthan Trust was registered in 1984 at Gwalior. Since then a number of programmes /activities were organized in rural sector of Gwalior and chambal division of state of M.P. for the welfare of rural people especially in the field of education and to eradicate illiteracy & backwardness in Districts of Bhind, Morena, Datia & Gwalior.

Dozens of primary, middle & higher secondary schools were opened in Dacoit-infested area with the initiative of local people and the Trust as Prime-mover. Trust Chairman was the sole initiator for surrender of hundreds of lawless Dacoits of Chambal Valley to the law enforcing machinery and was also involved deeply in the rehabilitation of surrendered Dacoits.

In 1997, Trust established ITM-Gwalior with the approval of AICTE with an intake of 120 students which rose to 534 intake in the year 2007-2008. Similarly, Trust established ITM (MCA) Gwalior in the year 2000 with an intake of 60 students. Institute of Information Technology & Management (IITM) in the year 2002 with an intake of 240 students in B.E. which rose to 330 in the year 2007-2008. Additional courses MBA & MCA were introduced in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 respectively with an intake of 60 students in each course. These institutions are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (University of Technology of M.P) and are duly approved by AICTE. The results are excellent and so is the placement scenario despite recessions all over. The Trust has established institute of Allied Sciences & Computer applications in the year 2000 & Institute of Nursing Science Studies & Research at Gwalior in the year 2002. Trust also established ITM College of Education in the year 2002, ITM - School of Law in the year 2003 and ITM – School of Management in the year 2008. These colleges are affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior.

In year 2000 Trust organized Indi-pop music show of Daler Mehandi and donated the profits & proceeds of the show to the Datia hospital.

In the year 2002, trust proposed to donate a block of 100 beded hospital to Gajara Raja Medical College & Hospital, Gwalior in the compound of GRMD, Govt. of M.P. is in the process of approval of the proposal. Trust has also become a donor member of Gajara Raja Medical College & J.A. group of hospitals by donating a sum of Rs. Two lacs.

Trust is involved in visual & fine arts and is instrumental in several artist’s camp and exhibition of contemporary paintings & sculptures, with facilities at Delhi & Gwalior.

The Trust has been providing medical aid to the villages of the surrounding area like Arupura Ravar, Roda, Adashpura, Kui-Panchayat, Lucknow Khurd, Alingar, Tribal Area, Balrampur, Bastari, Turari, Ramauaa, Sirol etc. and the villagers were time to time medically checked up by a qualified Doctor assisted by a compounder, the diseases like malaria fever, vomiting diarrhea, skin disease, under feeding, anemia, Rheumatism, Asthma were diagnosed in them. They were treated in time and the medicines were provided free of cost. About 1000 patients were benefited.

In 2009 Trust proposed to establish world Class University under ‘Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapana Evam Sanchalan) Adhiniyam 2007’. After Complying to all the norms and formalities mentioned under the act ITM University is established in May 2011 by M.P. State Govt. Under section 2(f) of UGC Act and Notified in the M.P. Gazette (extra ordinary) after receiving the assent of the Governor of M.P.
