About Shanti Business School Shanti Business School has been set up by The Chiripal Charitable Trust to bring about the much needed changes in Management education today. The Chiripal Charitable Trust is a Corporate Citizenship initiative of the Rs 2500 crore Chiripal Group of Companies which have interests in Textile, Petrochemicals, Packaging, and Infrastructure. Changes are much needed in Management Education today. In most cases, Business Management education has primarily focused on putting up ‘MBA’ tag to people with little emphasis on developing real managerial skills to make the graduates employable. Many studies including a NASSCOM-McKinsey study conducted in 2005 and a MeritTrac study conducted in 2009 found that less than 25% of the MBAs passing out from MBA schools in the country were employable. Many fear that the actual employability in 2011 and onwards could be much lower. Lack of real development of managerial skills and abilities...
