About us:
The Amrita story started in a small village in the foothills of Western Ghats with a modest School of Engineering that had 120 students and 13 faculty members in 1994. In 2003, Amrita got the status of Deemed University and came to be known as Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Today, nearly two decades later, Amrita has Five campuses, a 17,000+ strong student population, with a faculty strength of 2000.
