About us:

At college levels various hobby clubs are being organized as per facilities available provided the students take interest and generate resources. Photography, radio, model making, music and painting are a few of them.

The educational tours give exposure to the students about the real scenario of engineering techniques in the field, as such these tours are part of the course curriculum and are assessed. The university contributes actual sleeper class concessional railway fare for the tour subject to maximum limit of Rs 1000/- per student. For other approved tours the university issues only journey concession order of the appropriate class.

If a student misses the tour on reasonable grounds he will be asked to take up 15 days additional training.

The college campus has a bank and a post office. Canteen services are also available during office hours. A gymnasium facility is also available where 10-12 students at a time can do different muscular exercises.

The University publishes a news bulletin “MPUAT News” providing information of the activities and development taking place in the university and its constituent colleges, research stations and KVKs. The college is also publishing a college magazine “TECH-VIEW” regularly providing information of the students and staff activities and achievements and development taking place in different departments. An Editorial Board comprising of both students and staff invites various articles and edits them for publication.

A limited number of needy students may be engaged for time bound short-term engagement in workshops, farms and at other places to do the allotted work. Such students shall be paid remuneration so as to help them while they learn, develop a sense of achievement and learn certain techniques through this activity.

In order to give a chance to the students to sharpen their mind and body, provision has been made to form association, societies and forums of the students in the departments and college. Through these forums seminars, talks, quiz, debates, essay competitions and cultural activities are organized.

The name of the association of the college is Engineering Students Association (ESA). This association is constituted with the aims of promoting professional and social interests among its members and providing a forum for the professional activities and exchange of information.

The membership of ESA, shall comprise of

(i) All the enrolled students of CTAE

(ii) All the teachers of CTAE as honorary members and

(iii) Affiliated members such as members from institutions of learning, libraries, societies, research centre and private organizations.

The student members shall form the general body of the association. The Dean of the college is Patron of ESA. One or more staff members of the college are nominated by the Dean to act as Advisor(s) of the ESA.

There are professional societies in each discipline such as Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Mining and Agricultural Engineering to promote the professional activities among the students. These societies work under the control of the Head of the Department or a person nominated by the Dean of the college.

Students are also encouraged to become the members of other professional bodies, such as the student chapter of the Institution of Engineers, Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers etc. The students are free to participate in various prize-winning competitions and contribute papers for publication in journals.

for B.Tech. is 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths)

Admissions in B.Tech. courses are through Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test (RPET) conducted by Government of Rajasthan every year and remains among one of the top choices to the students seeking admissions. 12.5% Seats are filled through AIEEE conducted by CBSE.

Department of computer science and engineering of the college attracts students from 1000 position holders in Pre Engineering Test.

Admission in M.Tech.( Ag) programme is on GATE score and merit basis.

The College has an Information and Placement Bureau (IPB), functioning since 2001. The IPB caters to the needs of students in respect of their placement by inviting companies, MNCs/ Corporate and arranging on-campus recruitments for them; and also acquainting them about the emerging job trends globally. The bureau provides all technical facilities for presentations, written test, online test, group discussion and interviews to the recruiters. This Cell also coordinates various other activities related to personality development aspects like arranging technical talk of eminent managers from corporate and eminent professors from reputed institutes, arranging student-debates on current issues, presentations by students themselves on the subject of their interest. The bureau also invites, from time to time, professionals to the institute to deliberate as to how to prepare for the various competitive examinations like MBA, GATE, RAS, IAS etc. and helps students in selecting a good institute for further studies for a good career.

A team of Professors from various departments of the college manages the state of affairs of Placement Bureau, right from inviting the Companies to the institute and providing them with good of hospitality during their stay with the Institute. Student volunteers also contribute immensely whenever Bureau organizes any event which inculcates in them, a sense of responsibility towards their institute. The Bureau has a large air-conditioned presentation room equipped with LCD, a well furnished air-conditioned interview room, staff –office equipped with phone and internet connectivity, and a waiting room for students.
