A Dream named AMS was initiated 15 years ago with the mission of achieving excellence in the field of engineering, which has been materialized with AMS being established as a Premier Professional Engineering Institute of the country.

Annai Mathammal Sheela Engineering College was founded in 1996 by a group of visionaries and intellectuals to impart quality education in a stimulating and innovative environment where students are empowered with knowledge and professional skills while upholding the value of integrity, tolerance and mutual respect.
Annai Mathammal Sheela Engineering College is a community of students, staffs and faculty striving to be vibrant with learning processes which allow individuals to be themselves while being creative with their energy. The College, having about hundred acres of land is located at Erumapatty which is about 15 Kms from Namakkal town, the headquarters of Namakkal District.
The site is adjoining the Namakkal - Thuraiyur State Highway and in the gorgeous background of Kolli Hills. The fresh air, sweet medicated water seeping from Kolli Hills, well known for its medicinal plants, and vast area make the campus very healthy.
The serene area provides a conductive atmosphere for the students to concentrate on their studies. The existing building consist of Sir.C.V.Raman Block , Kalpana Chawla Block , Dr.A.P.J.Adbulkalam Block , Dr.S.Radhakrishnan Block , Deva House( Boys Hostel ), Sheela House ( Ladies Hostel ) .
The total building plinth area is 3,50,000 sq.ft and the estimated value is Rs. 25 crores. Near by Railway station - Salem junction,about 80 KM. Near by Airport is Trichy Airport, about 90 KM.
