Rural India lives in a stark contrast to that of urban India. Basic Educational Services, Agricultural extension services, Health and Social services, Insurance, Telecom and Banking services are some amongst many services which the typical Indian rural population is yet to see. Adding to the problem is the fact that India exhibits a huge diversity in usage of language, hence making the task so much more difficult.

AtAISCET Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopalwe believe firmly that through pertinent ICT applications and content and by relevant training, we can for the most part bridge the yawning gap between multiple rural requirements and the delivery of information related services to citizens.

It is estimated that in India only about 2% - 8% of the youth are trained in any kind of formal vocational training, one of the lowest percentages in the world. The corresponding figures for developed countries are much higher, varying between 60% and 96%. Further, the industry estimates that only about 40-50 per cent of the pass outs from various technical and vocational streams are actually employable. This has resulted in the emergence of skill gaps in almost all the sectors today.

To address this gap, we have devised the AISECT Services dissemination model. At the base of this is a multipurpose IT centre run by a rural entrepreneur. Through this centre Educational courses and other community services are delivered to the end user. The design of services and content is done by the network Head Quarters in an interactive and collaborative manner. The key roles are described below.
