Vinod Kumar works as a Technology Evangelist with Microsoft India specializing primarily on SQL Server. With the love and passion for SQL Server he wants to help the community to maximize their investments on SQL Server by utilizing the product in the right way in their design, development, architecture and deployments. He has been working in the industry on various Microsoft technologies for over eight plus and has been MVP - SQL Server for more than three years before joining Microsoft.

Starting his career way back in 1990 Loganathan has worked with WTI, Informex, Pramati, and also as a multi TR consultant in the U.S. Prior to Progress, he was responsible for driving the entire product development lifecycle at Pramati. There, he also accomplished the setting up of the technology consulting division from scratch. At Progress, he will steer the complete product development work from the company's development center.

     Outside work, his time is spent in teaching and mentoring students. Loganathan is an adjunct faculty at the IIT, Hyderabad, and actively works with BarCamps and Hysea where he promotes student entrepreneurship. Post his IT career he sees himself working as a full time faculty at a University. As an avid reader, he cherishes fictions from his favorite authors Lee Child, Arthur Hailey, and Dan Brown.
