About us University of Notre Dame

The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) is one of the rising stars of Australian universities. Founded through an Act of the Parliament of Western Australia in December 1989, it now has over 7000 students enrolled on its three campuses in Fremantle, Sydney and Broome. The University’s founding partner was the University of Notre Dame in the United States (NDUS), one of the world’s great Catholic universities and the benchmark for University of Notre Dame. It has provided UNDA with inspiration; counsel; ideas and models; ‘study abroad’ students and faculty; and the presence of its leaders on its Boards and governing councils.

School & Faculty At University of Notre Dame:

School of Medicine At University of Notre Dame: Notre Dame Offer an innovative MBBS course that will attract high quality applicants and that will graduate students who will contribute significantly to health care delivery and in areas of unmet medical need in Western Australia.Encourage community involvement in the design of the medical course, in the evaluation of its efficacy, and in the development of research that addresses areas of significance in the maintenance of the health and well being of Western Australians, and of significance for the national and global community.

School of Nursing At University of Notre Dame: The School of Nursing, Fremantle and Broome offers a three-year course that includes thirty-nine weeks of clinical practice in areas ranging from aged care to critical care. This program is truly comprehensive with its aim to expose students to a wide variety of clinical experiences. An important aspect of this clinical education, which is novel to Western Australia and to most other parts of the country, is the use of mentors who provide one-on-one clinical supervision for our students.

 School of Health Sciences At University of Notre Dame: The School of Health Sciences is comprised of academic programs that focus on the health and well being of individuals and communities. With the opening of the University’s Sydney Campus in 2006 a national College of Health Sciences and its Fremantle School was established. University of Notre Dame also intends to establish a School of Health Sciences in Sydney.

School of Business At University of Notre Dame:The School of Business offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the disciplines of accounting, finance, management, public relations, economics, human resource management and marketing.The School has developed strong links with the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame United States (NDUS), with faculty from the American campus teaching in the School each year.University of Notre Dame School also hosts 30 visiting business students from NDUS and as part of this unique exchange and runs a special Pacific Rim study program in its first semester which includes a tour to key areas in the Asian region.
