College & Faculty At University of New England: University of New England's five colleges provide both undergraduate and graduate students with a wealth of resources and a variety of educational experiences and research opportunities. College of Health Professions At University of New England:The Westbrook College of Health Professions offers undergraduate programs in dental hygiene, nursing, applied exercise science and athletic training, and graduate programs in nurse anesthesia, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant and social work. The College has state-of-the art educational facilities and has pioneered the model of interdisciplinary health and wellness education. The College is housed on the Portland Campus, an historic campus in suburban Portland, Maine.
College of Osteopathic Medicine At University of New England:The College of Osteopathic Medicine is dedicated to the improvement of life through the education of osteopathic physicians, research and service. The College emphasizes health, healing and primary care for the people of New England and the nation. In addition to the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree, the College also offers internships and residencies, a master of science in medical education leadership, and two graduate programs in public health. The College is housed on the Biddeford Campus on the coast of Maine.The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine is fully accredited by the American Osteopathic Association's Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (AOA COCA). The University of New England is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
College of Pharmacy At University of New England: The College of Pharmacy began accepting students for its pre-pharmacy phase in fall 2007. Clinical training and research partnerships have been established with Maine Medical Center in Portland, Mercy Health Care Systems in Portland, Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford and Maine General Health and Medical Center in Augusta and Waterville. The College will offer the Doctor of Pharmacy as the entry-level professional degree that will prepare students for careers as pharmacists and/or pharmaceutical scientists. The Doctor of Pharmacy degree is awarded after successful completion of four years of professional study.The four-year, professional program (Pharm.D.) is will open fall of 2009 in a new building located on University of New England Portland.
