Courses Provided by Ulster :

Master of Business Administration (MBA) : The MBA is a general management programme aimed at developing management and leadership skills for aspiring and established middle management from across a range of business sectors.

The overall aim of the MBA course is to educate and develop individuals as managers and business specialists, adding value through an integrated, applied and critical understanding of management and organisations and in parallel a development of transferable and intellectual skills that are essential for successful general and strategic management in both private and public sector organisations.

PgCert Veterinary Public Health : This programme, delivered jointly with University College Dublin, is designed to provide an academically challenging and professionally relevant advanced education in veterinary public health that will fulfil the additional requirement for the training of official veterinarians as set out in European Regulation 854/2004.

The programme will develop your knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory aspects of veterinary public health and your intellectual skills in addition to a range of transferable and communication skills.

PgDip/MSc Specialised Midwifery Practice : The multidisciplinary maternity care team of whom the midwife is an integral member share the mutual goal to improve the health of women and their babies and it is important they work with stakeholders to improve the health of families and the wider community. Although the birth of the baby is at the core of midwives practice, they also provide support to women, babies, partners and families from conception through to post-natal care. Midwives strive to help women have a healthy pregnancy and natural births. They are the specialists in low-risk pregnancy, childbirth, and the puerperium however they are also trained to recognize and deal with deviations from normal.
 
PgDip/MSc Medical Electronics : Electronic engineering is a constantly changing discipline and modern electronics engineers need to constantly update their knowledge and expertise. Currently, engineers with expertise relevant for applications in digital signal processing (DSP), wireless circuit design, embedded systems design, bioinstrumentation, and integration of electronics with medical devices are highly sought after in the job market. The aim of the PgDip/MSc Medical Electronics course is to update and enhance the knowledge and expertise of practising electronics engineers in these key areas.

PgDip/MSc Nursing : This programme aims to develop highly knowledgeable and skilled graduate nurses with the knowledge base to be able to function at an advanced level and to develop into expert or advanced practitioners, advisers, nurse managers or educators within their particular area of expertise.

The emphasis is upon the application of knowledge to practice, thus enhancing the leadership capacity of graduands.

The graduates of this postgraduate programme are expected to have a widespread beneficial influence on the quality of patient/client care through enhancing evidence-informed practice. Their development in relation to research and theory will vary according to the academic award (Postgraduate Diploma or MSc) achieved.
