The School of Science & Engineering : Developing the problem solvers, innovators and leaders of the future

Professor Simon HodgsonWe offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses in applied science and engineering including one year extended science or engineering course entry to first degrees.

To complement these traditional courses, we have developed innovative new programmes, including foundation degrees in engineering and chemical technology and degrees in disaster management, forensic investigation, crime scene science, internet and micro-systems technology.

A number of courses offer exchanges in Europe funded by the Socrates-Erasmus programme. Most offer an industrial training period - in some cases this can be in Europe, the USA or Canada.

Teesside University Business School : Teesside University Business School is a member of the Association of Business Schools.
ABS Pillars of the sustainable economy

At Teesside University Business School, we’re here for two main purposes.

Firstly to help you develop your career and realise all your potential. A recent survey by the Learning and Skills Council found what we most envy in others is their skills - 'fame and fortune were not as important as skills, with more than one third of those polled confessing to envying the skills and abilities of others'. The survey also revealed a hidden desire that people want to improve their abilities.

Secondly to help organisations become vastly more effective - of course, often both elements fit well together.

But we recognise just having great courses isn’t enough. It’s important to tailor what we do to meet your personal goals. So we’ve developed a variety of taught courses and programmes to help you meet your own life, business and career aspirations whether that’s an undergraduate degree, a master’s degree, MBA, DBA or one of our short courses.
