Schools And Colleges :
Strathclyde Business School : The Business School has over 170 academic staff, over 2,100 undergraduate and 600 full-time (1,800 part-time) postgraduate students, and a turnover of over £23m.
Our departments and specialist units embrace not only the functional disciplines of management but also some of the supporting social sciences, and combine breadth with strength in depth. They collaborate to provide a full and varied programme of specialist and inter-disciplinary courses, and allow us to offer great flexibility and choice to students.
A Major Innovator
The School has earned a reputation for innovation in business and management education and pioneered developments in undergraduate teaching, the MBA and the Doctorate of Business Administration. We pioneered the study of Marketing and host one of the largest Departments in the country. The Scottish Hotel School is the only hotel school to be fully integrated into a business school in a British university. We initiated cross-disciplinary studies in Technology and Business Studies, and International Business and Modern Languages.
Faculty of Engineering : The Faculty is home to over 4000 students with 3000 undergraduate, 600 taught postgraduate and 400 postgraduate research students all studying within nine leading departments.
As the largest engineering Faculty in Scotland, we are renowned internationally for research and strong links with industry. This is evidenced by a research portfolio of over £80M and having secured 19 Proof of Concept awards, over 250 Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) projects and spun out 15 companies.
Internationalisation is a key strategic priority for the Faculty and, through its collaborative links with overseas partners, the Faculty now boasts a growing international community of students, researchers and staff from over 40 countries and collaborations with overseas Universities/Industries.
Faculty of Science : Welcome to the Faculty of Science. With almost 3000 students and over £20m of external research grant income, we provide a high quality learning and research environment that is attractive both nationally and internationally.
