College of Engineering At Ohio university:Providing a learner-centered education to produce well-rounded professionals capable of contributing to the betterment of the world, the Russ College offers undergraduate and graduate degrees across the traditional engineering spectrum and in technology disciplines such as aviation, computer science, and engineering technology and management. Ohio university has World-class research in avionics engineering is an ongoing focus. Strategic research areas include transportation, and energy and the environment, with bioengineering a growth area. Named for alumnus Fritz Russ and his wife Dolores, the college is home of the Russ Prize, the top bioengineering prize in the world.
College of Business At Ohio university:The College of Business provides a distinctive learning environment that actively engages students, faculty, and the business community in developing knowledge and skills relevant for success in a complex, global economy.This environment stimulates student learning and faculty research so that our graduates are able to: a) apply a holistic, integrated approach to business problems; b) apply the communication, leadership, team and technological skills needed to succeed in their business careers; c) understand how to work with people from other cultures and to operate effectively in other countries; and d) understand the social responsibilities of individuals and organizations and evaluate the ethical dimensions of decisions in a business context.
College of Health Ohio university:College of Health Sciences and Professions, which until July 1, 2010, had been known as the College of Health and Human Services.The School of Applied Health Sciences and Wellness; Department of Social and Public Health; School of Nursing; and School of Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences.Outreach and community involvement are a defining characteristic of our health-centered curriculum, and clinical activity and service learning are intrinsic to most majors. The College's academic major programs all focus on various dimensions of health and well-being. Our students go on to achieve careers as dedicated professionals and successful scholars. More importantly, they are exposed to the five core values at the heart of an Ohio University education: Character, Community, Citizenship, Civility and Commitment.
