Welcome to London South Bank University - UK

About London South Bank University:

As one of London's oldest universities we have been committed to meeting the needs of the city and our students for over 100 years. Since 1892 we've been providing students with relevant real world opportunities, meeting the needs for a profession-focused workforce.
What we do

Vocational courses were at the heart of what we do even before the term was thought of and today we offer one of the most strongly vocational-orientated course portfolios around. By learning with us our students become equipped to take on their first full-time role or pursue their next promotion through their Continuing Professional Development.

Through their research, knowledge of the work place and professional links our teaching staff maintain strong relationships with industry and the local community. This is a huge benefit to our students who can be confident they are being taught by academics with highly relevant knowledge and skills.

Schools and Colleges:

School of Business : School of Business is one of four faculties within the University. It was formed in 2003 through a merger of the former Schools of Business and Computing. We were previously called the Faculty of Business, Computing & Information Management; we became the Faculty of Business in September 2009.

We offer a wide range of courses in the areas of business, management, accounting & finance, and computing & information technology. Most of our courses originated well before the formation of the Faculty, but thanks to our make-up we now have a rather unique blend of business-related and computing-related expertise, and this has enriched all of our courses.

School of engineering : Our Faculty offers some of the best and most accessible courses in engineering, science and the built environment available in London. The high quality of our industry links, employer engagement and specialist research are just some of the many ways we enhance our student experience. We continually build on over a century of expertise to ensure our courses are highly relevant to today's careers market.

School of Health and Social Care :
Health and Social Care is the largest of the University's four faculties with over 7,000 students and 350 teaching and research staff. It is the UK's second largest provider of nurse education and trains one in four of London's nurses and health and social care professionals.

Our wide ranging and varied partnerships enable us to develop new education and research opportunities

Boasting two research centres, over 25 research students are supported by 12 professors and readers and the Faculty runs externally-funded research programmes worth over £1.5million. We are also at the forefront of the NHS Modernisation and Service Improvement agenda through the design and implementation of a range of practice and innovative workforce redesign programmes.
