Faculty & School: La Trobe University has five faculties offering a wide range of courses, research programs and study options.All faculties support and promote excellence through focusing on the student experience, quality teaching, and the right balance of theoretical and practical knowledge.
Faculty of Health Sciences At La Trobe University:Faculty of Health Sciences With approximately 1700 new students accepted into our courses each year, we are keen to retain our enviable reputation of being at the forefront of health science education in Australia through both the quality of our programs and the graduates we produce. As part of the Faculty’s continuing endeavors to lead the way in health science education, I am proud that we have joined only one other university in Australia in offering four year combined Bachelor and Master programs, with the introduction of a new set of more flexible and integrated professional undergraduate degrees for its allied health programs.
The Faculty of Science At La Trobe University:The Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering includes physical and biological sciences, agricultural and environmental sciences, computer science and engineering, electronic and civil engineering, nanotechnology, pharmacy and psychology. We combine quality, international research with a very practical approach to student learning.
La Trobe University and the Victorian Government are investing $288M in constructing Agri Bio, the Center for Agri Bio science — a world–class institute for research and development in the agricultural bio sciences. A further $98M has been allocated by the Australian Government, the University and other partners to construct the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science.The Faculty has four Schools: engineering and mathematical sciences; life sciences; molecular sciences; and psychological science.
Faculty of Management At La Trobe University: The Faculty of Law and Management is the Faculty of the professions. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in key areas of business, law and management, as well as undertaking leading-edge research. Research strengths include sustainability, economics and business policy.
The School of Management At La Trobe University:School of Management which came into existence on the 1st January 2009. With around 47 multicultural academic staff, including an outstanding professorial, the School offers a dynamic learning-focused environment that nurtures the development of our students to their full potential by fostering excellence in interdisciplinary research and teaching. A strong network of industry partners, a diverse study abroad program and excellent research training at the Masters and Doctoral levels are also key features of the new School.
The Graduate School of Management At La Trobe University:In 2008, the Graduate School of Management became one of the 100 first management schools in the world to sign the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Management Education. These principles will gradually be adapted into our curricula, research, teaching methodologies and work as a guiding framework for the future of the school.We hope you will take the opportunity to study one of the courses offered by the La Trobe University Graduate School of Management.
