Schools And Colleges:


The College of Humanities and Social Science : The College of Humanities and Social Science has been in existence since 2002, drawn together from former faculties of the University. Internally, it is managed by a Head of College, Deans and Associate Deans.

In 2002, the University was re-organised from its faculties into three Colleges, the Colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), Science and Engineering (CSE), and Medicine and Veterinary Medicine (CMVM). Within these Colleges are 21 Schools. The College of Humanities and Social Science was formed from the former faculties of Arts, Divinity, Education, Law, Music and Social Science.

The College welcomes applications for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and can offer visiting students a range of shorter programmes.

college of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine :
Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, established in 1823, is a world leader in veterinary education, research and practice.
Veterinary Sciences

We provide outstanding veterinary education using an award winning curriculum, innovative teaching methods and an interdisciplinary environment.

We were placed first among the seven UK veterinary schools for quality of research in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercises, confirming the outstanding international reputation of the school.

Our clinical services - Hospital for Small Animals and Large Animal Practice

College of Science & Engineering :
We provide central administrative and management services for the College of Science and Engineering.

Our responsibilities include:

    * central admissions and administration for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Science & Engineering
    * on-course administration for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students
    * administration of promotions and other academic staff affairs
    * estates, finance and human resources services for the College
    * support for research and strategic projects
    * a number of other cross-College or cross-University programmes
