You will be able to take advantage of the following resources and benefits regardless of the major you choose.Faculty members in the College of Business care about teaching and your success.Their main goal is to provide a challenging learning environment that is responsive to your needs and to the needs of the national and international business communities. They will work closely with you to ensure that you acquire the knowledge and skills that will serve you well in whatever career you choose.You will study with students from a variety of backgrounds. Most of your fellow students in the College of Business have come to Delaware State University directly from high schools in Delaware, other parts of the United States, and other parts of the world.
College of Health Education At Delaware State University: The Academic programs are Education, Nursing, Social Work, Community Health, Sport Management and Movement Science. The Community based program is the Center for Community Mental Health Advancement.
Department of Nursing At Delaware State University:The faculty of the Department of Nursing subscribe to the philosophy and mission of Delaware State University and SPS. Its mission is to provide meaningful and relevant education that emphasizes the liberal arts, scientific and professional aspects of higher education for a multicultural student population. The nursing program provides educational opportunities for students of diverse backgrounds and prepares knowledgeable, entry-level practitioners for meeting present and future health needs of individuals, families, groups and communities. The nursing program develops an educational base for graduate study and fosters professionalism.The primary purposes of the program are (1) to prepare competent professional practitioners, (2) to meet the needs of a culturally diverse student population, and (3) to develop an educational base for future specialization and/or graduate study.
