School Of Engineering At Colorado State University:The College of Engineering at Colorado State is home to five academic departments and the School of Biomedical Engineering, 109 tenured and tenure-track faculty, about 300 staff, 1,786 undergraduate students and 562 graduate students. Colorado State University research expenditures in fiscal year 2010 exceeded $59.4M, or about $545,000 per faculty member.The College of Engineering has a responsibility to respond to national and international needs in areas such as environment, energy, health, and infrastructure. We have a positive impact on the world through excellence in education, research, outreach and economic development programs and by preparing students for leadership roles in a diverse and global society.The new computer, which boasts 1,248 processing cores and 1.6 terabytes of memory, will benefit several important engineering research areas, including the extreme UV laser research center, atmospheric science simulations, and robotics.
