Birmingham Business School : Dating from 1902, the School is proud of its long history and traditions of excellence and internationalism. Below we highlight some particular points which we believe make us an excellent choice for students:
University House and Facilities
The home of Birmingham Business School is University House, conveniently situated on the edge of the main campus opposite the main gate of the University. To the elegant old house of 1908 that houses staff rooms and social space, a new multi-million pound state-of-the-art teaching and learning complex has just been added giving a unique combination of historic elegance and cutting-edge facilities fit for the 21st century.
Engineering and Physical Sciences : Enabling you to study at the leading edge of modern science and engineering, this College covers a broad range of world-leading research, from developing microengines to our particle physics research at CERN. With a century of excellence in research and teaching, it offers exciting initiatives in new fields of study and spearheads activities in strategically important STEM subjects –Science,Technology,Engineering,Mathematics
The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences plays a significant role in creating new knowledge, training new generations of engineers and scientists, and interfacing with industry. It consists of the following nine Schools –

The College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham is a major international centre for research and education in medicine, medical sciences, dentistry, nursing and physiotherapy.
The University has recently completed an ambitious programme of organisational change which was necessary to ensure that the University is able to respond quickly to changes in the external environment and capitalise on its considerable strengths.
The School of Nursing & Physiotherapy : Nursing & Physiotherapy (formerly The School of Health Sciences) was established in 1995, bringing together the professions of nursing and physiotherapy. Both professions have a long-standing reputation for excellence in their undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
We have a long tradition of interdisciplinary learning, teaching and research. This is founded on a programme of health related research which underpins our established reputation for excellence in the nursing and physiotherapy based courses we provide.
