About the Bath University :

The University of Bath ranks highly in the league tables of UK universities published by a number of national newspapers, including the Times, Independent and Guardian.

Its research is internationally respected, and its students are in demand by employers because of the high quality of the teaching offered here.

The University has had close connections with industry and the public and voluntary sectors since its inception in 1966. It has developed strong links with universities abroad.

The University's buildings are set in an attractive campus about a mile from the centre of Bath, a World Heritage City. It is a safe and friendly campus with strong student services and good social opportunities. Its sports facilities are first-class.

The School of Management : The School of Management is one of the UK's leading business schools. We have achieved an impressive position of 5th in the UK for management research in the RAE 2008 and we are ranked in the top UK Schools.

We have an excellent reputation for the quality of our research which covers all areas of management. Research is structured around issue-based, multi-disciplinary groups and a number of industry-funded research centres and projects exist within the School.

The School of Engineering & Design : The School of Engineering & Design comprises four academic departments covering the main branches of engineering:

    * Architecture & Civil Engineering
    * Chemical Engineering
    * Electronic & Electrical Engineering
    * Mechanical Engineering

The departments are united by a common interest in design, an area of strategic importance to all industrial sectors and one in which we have a high reputation in both teaching and research.

The School of Science : The Faculty prides itself on its excellence in research that provides the foundation from which our unique style of teaching and learning has developed.  Total research income for the last academic year was in excess of £15 million.

We are the largest Faculty in the University, and currently have nearly 3,000 undergraduate students and over 500 postgraduate students. In total there are over 600 staff, of whom some 300 are academic and research staff. The Faculty comprises six departments and a cross-faculty degree programme:
