William Henry "Bill" Gates III is an American business magnate, investor, philanthropist, and author. the former CEO and current Chairman of Microsoft is ranked second among the world's wealthiest people throughout his career at Microsoft, Gates seized the positions of CEO and chief software architect, and remains the largest individual shareholder, with 6.4 percent of the common stock. He has also authored and co-authored quite a few books. Though Gates, may have lost the top spot because he's enthusiastic to charitable giving, his net worth is down $102.1 million on Mar 2 and up 11 percent year to date.
