Vijay Mallya: Is He Still the 'King of Good Times'?

5. Villas

This party king has villas around the globe. In India, he has villas and houses in the most prime locations.

In California, Mallya has a luxurious villa called ‘Sausalito’. Goa is the house of Mallya’s ‘Kingfisher Villa’, Mumbai hosts his ‘Niladri’. Mallya also owns a Penthouse in ‘Trump Plaza’ in New York. For partying in Cape Town, Mallya has a posh mansion known as ‘Best House’.

The Indian government has vouched Mallya’s ‘Kingfisher Villa’ and ‘Niladri’ in order to compensate some of the debts of Kingfisher Airlines.

The UB group is fighting cats and dogs to release the security of ‘Kingfisher Villa’. They have offered an undeniable amount of cash to recover the property.

6. Billionaire’s List

With a net worth of $1.11 billion, Mallya got placed in the Forbes’ billionaires list in 2011.

Increasing debts and other losses in his business has brought him down from the same list this year. Reports say that his net worth has reduced to $800 million now.

Mallya, like always, has responded in a flaky style to this loss. He tweeted: "Thanks to the Almighty that Forbes has removed me from the so-called billionaires list. . . less jealousy, less frenzy and wrongful attacks."
