Ashleymadison.com

It is an online dating service and social network service for the married people; this was launched in 2001 by Noel Biderman who is the CEO of the company. It claims to have 10 million members and it approximately gets 700,000 unique visitors per month. Ashley Madison is not a free website; we have to pay for the subscription and we need to be a member in order to interact with other members. The name was borrowed from the two popular female baby names “Ashley” and “Madison.” Ashley Madison was banned from appearing in super bowl XLIII during NBC in 2009 and it attempted to purchase $200,000 worth of advertising on Toronto Transit Commission streetcars. It approached the city of Phoenix, Arizona with an offer of $10 million to rename the Sky Harbor Airport to Ashley Madison International Airport. The company came across many critism one of which was when Trish McDermott accused Ashley Madison of being a “business built on the back of broken hearts, ruined marriages and damaged families.”
