4. Norway

After the discovery of North Sea oil in Norwegian waters the export of oil and gas has become the most important elements for Norway. Norway is currently receiving close attention due to North Sea oil production having increased and disagreements over exploration for oil in the Barents Sea, the prospect of exploration in the Arctic has given rise to the increased attention.

In 2013, the country produced 107.7 million standard cubic meters oil equivalents of petroleum.

5. United Kingdom

UK’s oil and gas industry was able to produce up to 50 million cubic meters of petroleum in 2012. About 98 percent was produced from offshore fields. However, there are 383 producing offshore fields which also include 17 productions in 2008.
