The Toughest Call That I Made

It is quite enticing to build every bit of our dream product, starting from A to Z. These sometimes drag you away from your core competency and leave you with your dream as a scrap. For Rajiv Pathak, it was too a difficult call to whether or not build the much buzz product of the market, Tablet. “In the initial stages, we were excited to build our own hardware device/tablet with our intelligent and adaptive personal tutor FunToot on it. However we decided not to get tempted by it and rather focus on our core software IP around artificial intelligence and education pedagogy,” says Pathak.
Retrospectively, the decision turned out to be a great decision. Today we can find a number of Tablets from so many leading players in the electronic space. eDreams is exploring partnerships with all leading Tablet/device vendors. “We think that the decision turned to be a great one. We hope to reach much higher than it would be with a proprietary Tablet/device,” adds Pathak.
