The Lakshmi Mittal Wedding

When Lakshmi Mittal’s daughter Vanisha married investment banker Amit Bhatia in 2004, the event became a head turner for all. The venue of the marriage was the Palace of Versailles. The outfits were designed by Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Verma, Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla. There were performances by Kylie Minogue, Aishwarya Rai, Shaharukh Khan, Rani Mukherji and Saif Ali Khan. A play scripted by Javed Akhtar depicting the story of Vanisha was enacted by the Mittal family. It was a 250 crore affair.

The Reddy Wedding

G V Krishna Reddy’s grand daughter Mallika’s marriage to the scion of Indu group Sidharth was biggest wedding affair in the canvas of Hyderabad. The ceremony is said to be an 1000 crore affair. The outfits were designed by Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla. 500 invitation cards were sent each card costing 5000. Among those who attended the function was Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The Chatwal Wedding

The scion of Hampshire Hotels Vikram Chatwal got married to model Priya Sachdev. The grand wedding costing 100 crore was a lavish 10 day affair. The celebrations took place in Delhi, Mumbai and Udaipur.
