He is the founder of the best cinema theatre in Hyderabad, the Kodak Theatre. TSR has also produced a number of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. T Subbarami Reddy has received a national award for the best feature film for producing a Sanskrit film named ‘Bhagwat Gita’.

In the elections of June 2012, T.Subbarami Reddy lost the election from Nellore constituency by a huge margin of 2.90 lakh votes to Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy of the YSR Congress Party.
