Pellucid Networks Launches RadLIVE GO! And ZapRad

Chennai: Technology-based solution provider Pellucid Networks has launched RadLIVE GO! a mini PACS on a thumb drive and ZapRad, a cloud-based platform for virtual clinics, medical i-enterprise, image sharing and global collaboration, at Arab Health, (A healthcare exhibition and medical congress held in Dubai).

“We are pleased to launch RadLIVE GO! at Arab Healthcare to reach out to the international community of radiologists. By incorporating the key functionalities of a PACS into a tiny USB Drive, we are able to save our clients millions of dollars in equipment costs and provide true mobility for radiologists to report from anywhere. We are in advanced negotiations with several customers in Asia, Middle East and Australia who have expressed strong interest in RadLIVE GO! as well as our RadLIVE suite of cloud based products,” says Ravindran Govindan, CEO, Pellucid Networks.

The new platform delivers a transformational dimension to radiology by providing a Picture Archival and Communications Systems (PACS), with a radiology workstation in a USB Drive. The USB Drive can be connected to any laptop to the cloud-base RadLIVE Tele radiology platform to provide various functionalities at a low cost and a built-in security through the I-Flapp patent protected security engine.

ZapRad also incorporates the IOR protocol to secure and rapidly transmit hi-fidelity medical images to enable radiologists setup and operate virtual radiology clinics and report on the uploaded images.

ZapRad provides a seamless interface with jobs work lists, web based viewing and reporting solution.” It serves as a platform for application developers to host paid services like Rad School, conferencing, and cloud storage. Its social media and networking engine acts as a meeting place for information sharing, with additional features like social network mining and daily quiz.

Pellucid Networks was founded in 2008 by Ravindran Padmanabhan. It is headquartered in Singapore and has offices in India in Chennai, and Malaysia. The company had raised an undisclosed sum from Mercatus Capital in 2010.
