Lapsed Visa Threatens 121 Youth from Returning Home


Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister assured Vasundhara Raje the present Rajasthan Chief Minister stating that the Centre is trying its best to safely bring back the Indians stranded in Iraq. Punjab government, AAP MP Bhagwant Mann and Punjab Congress have set up help lines in order to help the families of these workers held in Najaf and Baghdad so that the details can be handed over to the external affairs ministries.

As per the sources it was informed that the Punjab Welfare Society and the Khalsa 8 UK has been successful in convincing the agents, to return the passports that they have held on to, so as to enforce the workers to stay back. 

Severel attempts has been made by the Government to bring home 90 workers with valid documents, along with the monetary help, which is arranged to those who cannot afford to buy tickets to return. The government is striving hard with high expectation to bring the Indians back them home.
