swiftkey, app, mobile app, android, iOS, touchtypeTouchType, the makers of SwiftKey, raised $2.4 million in the series A round of investment from Octopus Investments. The fund also saw the participation of Cambridge Capital Group, Jon Craton (Founder of Cramer Systems), Nick Hynes and Carl Uninski (CEO and COO founders of Somo Agency), Richard Brennan (Former CMO of Orange Group), and Andrew Thornton (Barrister with Erskine Chanbers). The fund was raised to focus on the next phase of growth and development for SwiftKey and the company. TouchType also plans to strengthen its executive, commercial, and technical teams. TouchType was Co-Founded by Jon Reynolds, and had previously raised $1.2 million in seed funding in 2010. The app has been downloaded more than One million times from the Android market.
