Guess Who Sonia Wants As President

The reports say that the three congress chief ministers Prithviraj Chavan of Maharashtra, Ashok of Rajasthan and Kiran Reddy of Andhra Pradesh will soon join the central ministry. Prithviraj Chavan is most likely to take up the parliamentary affairs from Kumar Bansal.

Another major consideration for Sonia and Manmohan Singh will be the change of governors.Rajasthan and Kerala governor posts are vacant and the governors of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Goa will end their period soon. Government also has to find governor for the Lt Governor of Delhi.Rajasthan will be taken away from Shivraj Patil who currently manages Punjab and Rajasthan

R K Dhawan  who was the personal secretary of Indira Gandhi can select between Dehradun or Jaipur since he failed to get B V Wanchoo’s governor post of Goa. Former Madhya Pradesh speaker Srinivas Tiwari and C K Jaffer Sharief, senior congress leader of Karnataka are the unsuccessful nominees for the governor post.

With these changes Congress is aiming at the general elections of 2014 before hand. Since the social activist’s movements of Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev have spoiled the government’s image to an extent, it is crucial for the government to take some drastic moves to sustain the reign. Thus even the Presidential Elections become crucial for the Congress since the next president will supervise the 2014 elections.
