First Look! 5 Hottest Cars Launched In Indian Auto Expo

2. Honda Mobilio

Advantages: Great acceleration, good leg space

But the Catch is: Interior is the same as Brio and Amaze

Mobilo’s design is based on Brio, and has got the much needed extension at the wheelbase and rear. The hatch back can provide a third row of seats if possible. The dashboard is a direct carryover from the Brio and the Amaze, and lacks that premium feel. It has a USB and AUX-in, advance audio system.

Mobilio is powered by 117bhp, 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 99bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engines from the Honda City series. It can accelerate 100kmph in a time interval of just 13.3 seconds. The alloy wheeled car is expected to be priced at 9 Lakhs.

3. Honda Jazz

Advantages: Great interior, practicality, fuel economy, dual-clutch transmission in hybrid, infotainment system, versatility

But the Catch is: Noisy cabin, CVT for regular models, interior upgrades mostly for hybrid only

Honda Jazz 2014 model is a way forward in terms of practical and spacious urban commuting. It is the much talked about car for its versatile, reliable and humble city-friendly vehicle suited for multitasking. The design is more like its Civic version for the front. An edgier rear end with long vertical taillights and a rising curve when viewed from the side are the new add-ons. Other new improvements are that it has a new cabin, flowing centre console directed at the driver with a flush LCD infotainment screen and a space-saving gearstick.

Under the hood, Honda has retained its engine from Amaze model launched last year. The sedan sports better fuel efficiency of 3.9L/100km. A new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox coupled with a 1.5-litre diesel engine and electric motor allows much smoother acceleration when compared to continuously variable transmission (CVT). The 1.2 liter petrol engine can churn out a maximum power of 86 PS while the diesel engine provides 100 PS. The price is not known as it is yet to be launched.
