New Delhi: New Delhi-based ecommerce store selling baby products, babyoye.com, has raised funds from Bollywood actress Karishma Kapur. Co-founded by Sanjay Nadkarni and Arunima Singhdeo, babyoye.com provides modern Indian parents with the opportunity to access the best products in infant-care and mother-care, at the click of a button. babyoye is owned by Nest Childcare Services, an e-commerce store for infant-care and mother-care products and services.

 

Karishma says that she shared a lot of ideas with the babyoye team, on how it can help parents give their children the right start in life. She claims to having invested as a parent who has discovered such a service and wishes to share it with other parents. She says that she has not only put her time and money into the company, but also her heart into the investment.

 

Previously, babyoye had raised $2.5 million from Accel Partners and Tiger Global. babyoye has tied up with more than 80 brands like Johnson & Johnson, Fisherprice, Papmers, and Chicco; and offers free home delivery for orders above 2,000. babyoye compiles special offers and services to make buying provisions easier.  

 

Prior to co-founding babyoye, Nadkarni has served as the Head of Commercial Management, Product Head for domestic long distance, Regional Head—Business Solutions, and Vertical Head—M&D, at Bharti Airtel. He has also worked as a Key Account Manager at Sify. Nadkarni did his MBA in Marketing from University of Mumbai and holds a BE in Chemical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
