Fremont: There is a line between advertising and annoying. No, it is not a blurred thin line; it is a bold thick huge line, which should not be crossed. But advertisers are crossing this repeatedly and it is annoying the hell out of targeted viewers. I can't help feeling sorry for any company that really thinks it can attract customers by annoying them. Literally speaking, those companies will do nothing but end up paying for advertisements that are going to keep prospective customers stay clear of their company. We are online, trying to watch a video and once we press the play button a new window pops up with an advertisement, this never fails to drive us nuts. The ad might be of relevance to us or it might not be, but in our infuriated disposition we won't even care to check what it is about. We just want to close it and go back to our video. The whole idea of popping up a window which is unasked for is crazy and it makes one wonder what the advertisers are really trying to prove with them.
