The Print Bazaar Plans To Raise 100 Crore

New Delhi: Delhi based The Print Bazaar is planning to raise 100 crore in funding within next few months. The Print Bazaar is an organized multi-service, multi-product, multi-range “One Stop Shop” for the printing needs of the customers.

Founded in November 2010, the firm currently has five stores and have presence in Delhi and NCR. “We basically plan to have a strategic funding from the internal sources. However, we also welcome the PE and VC investments. The fund will be raised in two phases for driving The Print Bazaar and upgrading the infrastructure. We are planning to have Pan India presence through enhancing our presence in the Tier I and Tier II cities by taking the path proven model. We plan to have more than 100 stores in the near future,” says Sethunath Padmanabhan, Director, The Print Bazaar.

Padmanabhan also holds the post of director in Alia Group that owns The Print Bazaar. Prior to this, he was working as a regional manager at Indigo Business Services. he holds an MBA from Bharthiar University.

The Print Bazaar plans to have expansion in a phased manner, wherein they are currently looking forward to have deeper penetration in the Delhi-NCR region and then focusing on the Northern Region of the country. They may have trial stores in other regions, but that will be on a later date. The company also plans to launch their e-commerce site. They are ready for the evaluation and have started looking for a model that will help the consumers to better participate with the company to gain more from it.

Where they plan to raise 25-30 crore in the first phase, which will be utilized to develop a Hub in Delhi to cater to B2B, clients and specialty items, they have plans to raise 75-80 crore in the second phase to cover the North India expansion.

Talking about the target audience, Padmanabhan adds, “Today our focus is more in consumer, and small and medium enterprises. The consumer who goes across the road side printing shop to photocopy even a single page is our target audience and we plan to provide a value added service not only through our stores but also through our e-commerce site that we plan to launch soon.”
