Startup Weekend Hyderabad Event to be Launched

Hyderabad: Seattle-based Startup Weekend that organizes event for startups is launching their "Startup Weekend Hyderabad" event in Hyderabad on 2nd September 2011. The event will be held from 2-4th September at Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. The event will kick-start with presentations by guest speakers including Ramesh Loganathan, VP (Products) and Center Head of Progress Software; mentors including Sharlin Thayil, CEO of Bharti Airtel, AP Circle and Ramesh Loganathan. Raghu Batta, Partner at Ojas Ventures are among the judges for the event. After the guest speech, the participants will be allowed for elevator pitch. The attendees will vote on the pitched ideas and teams will be formed by top voted ideas. Over Saturday and Sunday, teams will focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Startup Methodologies and building a minimal viable product. On the final day, Sunday, teams will demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts. Co-Founded by Marc Nager, Clint Nelsen and Franck Nouyrigat, Startup Weekend is a non-profit, community-building event that brings together entrepreneurs of all backgrounds including software developers, marketers, designers and other enthusiasts to start companies in just 54 hours.
